Raj Prabhakar

Biography

As the Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development for Celsion Corporation, Raj Prabhakar continues an extensive career in the biotechnology industry. Mr. Prabhakar's current position requires leading the company in partnering and licensing its drug development products for cancer indications, in addition to supporting global clinical trials and manufacturing suppliers. Responsible for developing international outlicensing and collaboration agreements, he has partnered Celsion Corporation with leading pharmaceutical companies in Japan and China, the largest Asia territories. Earlier, Raj Prabhakar served as Director of Corporate Development at both Osiris Therapeutics and Protiveris. These companies developed revolutionary innovations in stem cell therapies and diagnostic biosensors, respectively.

Prior to entering this field, Raj Prabhakar attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a Bachelor of Science graduate in Biology and Mechanical Engineering, he wrote his thesis on biomaterials and tissue engineering and served as president of the school's parliamentary debate team. Following several years working in the investment sector, Raj Prabhakar enrolled at the Harvard Business School. While earning his Master of Business Administration, he interned at venture capital and technology firms in India and served as co-president of the South Asian Business Association.
